Joining Steve will be Syd Potter on trumpet, David Deacon Joyner on piano, Osama Afifi on bass, Steven Bentley on drums and Mike Lopez on congas. We will be performing selections from Wayne Shorter's long and illustrious career including tunes from Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, The classic Miles Davis Quintet and Weather Report. $15.00 Share
*Just got back from a radio show for Sour Owl on* KMAS AM 1030. The show is Robert Poole presents: The Songwriters Stage and it will air this Sunday, July 4th from 8-9p.m. It will also be streaming on the KMAS website on demand the following week. Robert is a great host and we had a wonderful time talking about Sour Owl and playing songs from our CD. And on July 11th, he will be interviewing and playing the music of Northwest jazz bass legend Steve Luceno. We would also like to thank Bruce Whitcomb of Red Arrow Records for sponsoring our show. Since we have a little break, we thought we would post some pictures of our rehearsal space which is located at ArtHouse in Olympia. We are pretty lucky to be surrounded by beautiful works of art while we rehearse our new material. The new Sour Owl website, (powered by bandzoogle) was created to give our fans a place to keep in touch with all things Sour Owl.
